RICHMOND, Ky. –The Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team takes on Ohio Valley Conference rival Morehead State on Wednesday, October 1 at 7 p.m. in Morehead. The Colonels will look to continue the 2-0 season start against the 0-2 opponent.
 
The Colonels' Dena Ott is ranked first in the conference with a total of 204 digs and 4.53 digs per set. Senior Alexis Plagens is currently second in the conference with 159 kills and Abby Cvelbar is second in assists, averaging 10.42 per set.Rachel Vick is second in the conference with a .385 hitting percentage.
 
EKU is 12-6 overall for the season and 2-0 in the OVC conference.
 
Morehead has an 0-15 overall record and is 0-2 in conference play.
 
Both EKU and Morehead State played Belmont and Tennessee State this past weekend. The Colonels took on Belmont Friday night winning in five sets and turned around to finish off Tennessee State Saturday, in four games. EKU's Plagens posted 20 kills against the Bruins and Celina Sanks had a high of 14 kills against the Tigers.  
 
MSUs' Hannah Sigala had 18 kills and a .351 hitting percentage against Tennessee State.
