The Colonels look to get back in the win column, after dropping their last three matches.
Freshman
Chloe Rojas' defensive effort has made it difficult for opposing offenses this season. Rojas' 4.34 digs per set average currently ranks fourth in the OVC. Meanwhile,
Celina Sanks and
Rachel Vick, who have racked up 341 of the team's 804 kills this season, will lead the Colonels' offensive attack.
Rojas is coming off a career-best 27 dig performance against Southeast Missouri (Oct. 9). The St. Charles, Illinois native followed with another 15 digs at UT Martin Saturday.
Sanks tallied a team-high 30 kills hitting .221 last weekend to lead the Colonels.
Eastern Kentucky (3-18, 2-4 OVC) will face two of the OVC's most efficient attackers in Tennessee Tech's Cody Dodd and Jacksonville State's Emily Rutherford. Dodds' 4.18 kills per set ranks third in the OVC, while Rutherford currently ranks seventh with 3.15 kills per set.
Eastern Kentucky is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Colonel volleyball this season. Eastern's first 49 years includes seven Ohio Valley Conference regular season championships, nine OVC Tournament titles and seven more pre-NCAA conference and regional championships.
