RICHMOND, Ky. – After moving to 6-4 in Ohio Valley Conference play, the EKU volleyball team will travel to the University of Dayton Tuesday night for the final non-conference match of the season.
Eastern Kentucky swept Homecoming weekend at McBrayer Arena with wins over Tennessee Tech and Jacksonville State and enter Tuesday's match riding a four-game conference win streak.
Sophomore
Celina Sanks leads the Colonel offense averaging 2.71 kills-per-set. Sanks has tallied 241 kills on the season along with 11 service aces and 16 blocks.
The Flyers will put their 15-game win streak on the line when the Colonels enter the Frericks Center. Dayton's (17-5, 9-0 A10) Alaina Turner leads the Flyers with 340 kills on the season.
Tuesday's 6 p.m. match will mark the 19th meeting between the teams. The first meeting was in 1972 and the most recent in 2014 which Dayton won 3-0. The series is tied 9-9.
