RICHMOND, Ky. – The EKU volleyball team will host its final two regular season matches this weekend at McBrayer Arena.
The Colonels will host Eastern Illinois University Friday at 7 p.m. EKU will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday with a 4 p.m. match against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
EKU (8-20, 7-5 OVC) has won five of its last six Ohio Valley Conference matches with four regular season matches remaining.
The Colonels' defense will look to slow down the opponents' offensive attacks this weekend. Eastern has limited its opponents to a hitting percentage of .219 on the season—ranking eighth in the OVC—and is averaging 1.66 blocks-per-set.
SIUE's Kristen Torre ranks first among the OVC, hitting .383 on the season. Meanwhile, Eastern Illinois' Allie Hueston ranks second in the same category. Torre also ranks sixth in the conference with 3.33 kills-per-set.
Senior
Rachel Vick has been an integral part of Eastern's success on both sides of the net. Vick averages 2.21 kills-per-set while averaging .73 blocks-per-set.
Celina Sanks' 2.85 kills-per-set for the Colonels ranks 10th in the OVC.
