Baseball Drops Series Finale At SIUE

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – After splitting the first two games of the series, Eastern Kentucky lost 10-3 at Southern Illinois Edwardsville in the series finale on Sunday. 
 
Doug Teegarden drove in both of Eastern's (11-20, 5-9 OVC) first two runs of the game, with a bases loaded walk in the second and a single in the fourth that got the Colonels within 3-2.  However, SIUE (12-16, 12-6 OVC) answered with five runs in the bottom half of the inning to put the game away.
 
Kyle Nowlin hit his third home run of the series in the seventh.  His solo shot was the 12th of the season for the junior.  Nowlin finished 1-for-2 with three walks.  Teegarden was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
 
The Colonels are scheduled to be back in action on Tuesday at Marshall.  First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
