CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Eastern Kentucky University softball team pounded out three home runs on the way to a 10-5 win at Austin Peay in game two of a doubleheader Wednesday afternoon. The Govs won the opener by a score of 3-1.

Shannon McQueen had the big hit for the Colonels (21-23, 11-7 OVC) in game two. The third baseman tallied a three-run home run in the fourth inning to put EKU ahead for good, 5-4.

Sarah Fobbs chipped in with RBIs in the seventh to help the Colonels reach double figures in the run column for the eighth time this season.
McQueen finished 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and a stolen base in the victory. Junior
Hayley Flynn (4-5) pitched the final 5.1 innings and struck out five APSU batters to earn her fourth win.
In the opener, Austin Peay's Christiana Gable notched a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie.
EKU's lone run came in the top of the sixth thanks to a Fobbs RBI double.
Eastern Kentucky wraps up its home schedule this weekend with a three-game set against Tennessee Tech. Games one and two are slated for Saturday afternoon, April 25 beginning at 4 p.m.
