RICHMOND, Ky. – A young Eastern Kentucky volleyball team will make its first appearance at home on Tuesday when Northern Kentucky visits McBrayer Arena.
The match is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
The Colonels (0-7) are led by the sophomore trio of
Celina Sanks,
Danielle Hicks and
Ciera Koons, and freshman
Chloe Rojas.
Sanks leads the team with 2.59 kills per set and also contributes 2.63 digs per set. Hicks is second with 2.07 kills per set and has a team-best six service aces. Koons leads the squad with 24 blocks (0.89 per set) and is fourth with 1.44 kills per set.
Rojas averages a team-high 3.93 digs per set. She earned all-tournament honors at the DISH Tennessee Classic this past weekend.
Northern Kentucky enters the match with a 2-4 record. The Norse have wins over Louisiana Tech and Ohio Valley Conference-member Southern Illinois Edwardsville.
