RICHMOND, Ky. – EKU head cheerleading coach Beth Bruner announced national send-off and clinic information dates Monday.
The EKU Cheerleading team will perform a sendoff routine in preparation for its UCA College Nationals competition Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. at Alumni Coliseum.
EKU Cheer clinics will take place Sunday, February 28th and April 24th from 2-5 p.m. at the cheer room in the Begley Building. Middle and high-school aged individuals will be permitted to attend. Stunt and tumble skills required. The cost of each clinic is $60. The stunt clinics will also include the learning of the fight song which will be performed at tryouts.

Tryouts for the 2016-2017 Season will take place Thursday, May 12th - 15th. Thursday will be an optional pre-tryout clinic from 6-8 p.m. in the cheer room of the Begley Building. Cost is $25. Tryouts will begin Friday, May 13th and conclude Sunday, May 15th. Times will be announced at a later date. Tryouts will take place in the cheer room of the Begley Building but is subject to change. Dress for tryouts should be a tshirt/tank, cheer shorts, cheer shoes and bow. Any combination of maroon, white and black. No jewelry. Tumbling requirement is a standing tuck. You also must demonstrate your highest standing tumbling pass and running pass.
