@EKUHoops Looks to Keep Rolling Against Marshall

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's basketball team will look to keep rolling on Saturday when the Colonels host Conference USA power Marshall at McBrayer Arena.
 
Please note: the game will tip at 4:00 p.m. It was originally scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

- EKU (4-4) has won three of its last four games, including a 78-59 rout of in-state rival Western Kentucky on Wednesday night at McBrayer Arena.
 
- The Colonels shot a season-high 51 percent from the field and knocked down a season-high 13 three-pointers versus the Hilltoppers. Eastern also committed a season-low nine turnovers in the victory.
 
- Freshman guard Asante Gist came off the bench to lead all scorers in the game with 19 points, 17 of which came in the second half to help EKU pull away.
 
- Sophomore forward Nick Mayo netted 14 points and matched a career-high with five assists on Wednesday.
 
- Seniors Isaac McGlone and Jaylen Babb-Harrison also had big games against WKU. McGlone was a perfect 5-of-5 from the field – including 4-of-4 from deep – and finished with a career-high 14 points. Babb-Harrison tallied 13 points and also led the Colonels in rebounds (seven) and steals (three).
 
- Freshman guard Parker Chitty made his first-career start against the Hilltoppers and finished with four points and one rebound.
 
- EKU's bench outscored WKU's bench, 33-4, in the win.
 
- It was Eastern's first win over Western Kentucky since January 7, 1987, and it snapped a 13-game losing streak to the Hilltoppers.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
 
- This is the 41st meeting between EKU and Marshall. Eastern leads the all-time series, 22-18; however, the Thundering Herd defeated the Colonels, 96-72, last season in Huntington.
 
- Last year's matchup was the first game between the two programs since 1994.
 
- Marshall enters the weekend with a record of 5-1. The Herd's lone loss of the season came at Ohio State on November 25.
 
- Jon Elmore paces Marshall at 21.8 points-per-game.

EKU will play five straight games on the road following Saturday's contest, beginning with Jacksonville – in Jacksonville, Florida – on Wednesday, December 7, at 7:00 p.m.
