COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Five Colonels scored in double figures, but it was not enough, as the Eastern Kentucky University men's basketball fell at Tennessee Tech, 92-82, in its regular season finale on Saturday at the Eblen Center.

EKU (15-16, 6-10 OVC) shot 44 percent (27-of-62) from the field. The Colonels finish the year shooting 49.1 percent from the floor, matching a program record.

TTU's (19-10, 11-5 OVC) guard tandem of Aleksa Jugovic and Torrance Rowe combined to score 53 points against the Colonels. Jugovic poured in seven three-pointers to tally a career-high 30 points. Rowe contributed 23 points and six assists.

Trailing by three at halftime, Eastern came out of the locker room hot and took a four-point lead, 43-39, following a three-pointer by Hawkins just over a minute into the second half.

However, Tech responded with a 14-0 run and went up by double digits, 53-43, on a triple by Rowe with 15:21 on the clock.

The Colonels hung around, though, and pulled back to within three, 62-59, on a layup by Jackson with 8:15 remaining.

The Golden Eagles outscored Eastern, 13-5, over the next 2:45 and went up by 11, 75-64, following another three-pointer by Rowe at the 5:30 mark.

EKU never got closer than seven points the rest of the way.
