The Bulldogs were able to plate runners in the first, second and fourth innings on singles from Saige Benson, Boston Martinez-Neal and J.T. O'Reel.
Luke McGee and
Brian Mroz faced 16 batters over the last five innings and gave up only one hit.
Senior
Mandy Alvarez notched two hits in four at-bats.
Benson was 2-for-4 with a run driven in. Martinez-Neal went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI.
EKU falls to 15-18 on the season, while A&M moves to 7-29. The Colonels will play host to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville this weekend to cap off their four game home stand. Friday's game is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
