An RBI single by Manny De Jesus and a sacrifice fly by John Adryan staked Ohio to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. EKU got one back in the bottom of the inning on

The Bobcats began to pull away with three in the third, including a run scoring infield single by Tony Giannini.

Ohio (12-16) scored the final four runs of the game. Rudy Rott and Adryan had back-to-back RBI doubles in the top of the seventh.
Alvarez and Merida each had two hits for Eastern Kentucky. Nowlin finished 1-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored.
Four Bobcats had two or more hits. Rott went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs. De Jesus finished 2-for-4 with two walks, three runs scored and an RBI.
The Colonels hit the road this weekend for three games at Tennessee-Martin. The series opener is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. ET.
