RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University rising senior soccer player
Mikayla Brillon has been selected to attend the NCAA's prestigious Career in Sports Forum this June in Indianapolis.
Brillon was one of only 200 student-athletes from across the country accepted into the highly-competitive program.
The Career in Sports Forum is a unique, four-day opportunity designed to assist student-athletes in charting their career paths, as well as provide an opportunity to network and learn from current athletics professionals.
Brillon, a native of Temecula, California, is a sports management major with a 3.5 GPA. She is a three-time Colonel Scholar, a two-time Dean's List honoree and a recipient of the Chi Alpha Sigma Award.
"I am so honored to have been selected for the NCAA Career in Sports Forum," Brillon said. "It is an amazing step that I am excited to take. I have always been in love with sports and a career in sports is the one career path that has always made sense. I hope to one day end up working for the Boston Red Sox. I am a die-hard Sox fan and I love their organization. To work for their marketing department would be a dream come true."
The Career in Sports Forum will take place June 2-5 at the NCAA national office in Indianapolis.
