LORETTO, Pa. – The EKU volleyball team used a timely run to secure its third straight win in a 3-0 victory over Saint Francis University in Friday's match at the Red Flash Classic.

The Colonels won by scores of 25-21, 25-18, and 25-20.

After EKU claimed the first two sets with ease, Saint Francis took an 18-16 lead in the third following a kill from junior Kelsey Roush. Eastern Kentucky, however, capitalized off a Saint Francis miscue and solidified its third consecutive win.

The Colonels claimed five straight points to take a 21-18 lead, as back-to-back kills from freshmen
Rachel Woody and

Woody and Knutson tied for a game-high 12 kills in the win. Knutson's .409 hitting percentage on the night was a new career high. Reigning Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week
