- EKU (8-12, 1-4 OVC) fell to first-place Belmont, 72-59, on Saturday at McBrayer Arena. With banged-up senior leader Isaac McGlone playing only three minutes, the undermanned Colonels fought back to tie the game early in the second half; however, the Bruins pulled away down the stretch.

- Nick Mayo turned in one of his best all-around games as a Colonel on Saturday vs. Belmont. The sophomore scored 17 points, grabbed five boards, dished out a career-high seven assists, matched a career-high with three steals and matched a season-high with three blocks.

- Mayo has nine swats in EKU's last three games, and he is now up to fourth in the conference in blocks/game (1.1).

- Mayo - standing 6-9 - has led EKU in assists three times in the last six games. His seven assists vs. Belmont are the second-most by a Colonel in any game this season (McGlone had nine vs. Ball State).

- EKU shot a season-best 92.3% (12-of-13) from the free throw line vs. Belmont. It is the first time the Colonels have shot above 90% from the stripe since Feb. 18, 2016, when they shot 91.7% (22-of-24) ... also against Belmont.
