INSIDE THE SERIES
- Eastern Kentucky leads the all-time series with Murray State, 45-27-4. The Colonels are 22-15-2 all-time in games played in Murray. The first meeting between the two teams came in 1929.Â

THE COLONELS
-Â Eastern Kentucky (2-5, 2-3 OVC) rushed for a season-high 229 yards in its 31-21 victory over Tennessee-Martin on Saturday.

-Â After turning the ball over four times in each of its previous three games (-11 turnover margin), EKU did not commit a turnover against the Skyhawks on Saturday and forced three.

-Â The Colonels churned out 331 yards of total offense against UT Martin, a team that entered the game first in the Ohio Valley Conference and fifth in the nation in total defense (271 ypg).

Keith Wrzuszczak broke EKU's 51-year-old punting record with an 84-yard punt against UTM. It is the second longest in the FCS this season. The senior was chosen as the OVC Co-Specialist of the Week.

Corey Glass was chosen as the OVC Defensive Player of the Week after he helped the Eastern defense hold the eighth leading rusher in the nation – UTM's Ladarius Galloway (104.8 ypg) – to just 41 yards. Glass finished with five tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Murray State is 2-5 overall and 1-2 against OVC teams this season. The Racers were off this past weekend. MSU lost to Eastern Illinois, 27-24 in double overtime, in its last game on Oct. 14. The Racers have a 13-10 conference victory over UT Martin and a 67-7 win over Kentucky Wesleyan.

-Â Murray State is the least penalized team in the conference and among the top 10 least in the nation.

- MSU leads the OVC with 12 interceptions made and is first in turnover margin. The Racers also lead the league in sacks.

-Â Murray State is last in the conference in total offense, but totaled 390 yards against Eastern Illinois in its last game, including 332 passing yards.Â

- Quarterback Shuler Bentley leads the offense, having completed 64 percent of his passes for 1,102 yards (220/game). He has thrown eight touchdown passes and four interceptions in five games this season.
