RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team closes out its home swing with a rivalry match with Morehead State on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in McBrayer Arena.

-The Colonels (5-13, 3-1 OVC) have opened up Ohio Valley Conference play on a good note winning 3-of-4 matches. Last weekend Eastern won a pair of matches against Tennessee Tech, 3-2, and Jacksonville State, 3-1.

- In last week's matches
Cassie Knutson logged her first triple-double of the season against Tennessee Tech with 11 kills, 23 assists and 11 digs. The San Diego, California native then turned around at notched a season-high 32 assists against Jacksonville State on Saturday.

- Two other players had record days on Saturday in
Celina Sanks who tallied a season-high 20 kills,
Kaylin Johnson who racked up a career-high nine blocks and
Nikki Drost who chipped in a career-high seven blocks.

- Senior outside hitter Sanks is leading the squad in conference action with a .210 hitting percentage. The Butler, Pennsylvania native is just one kill away from eclipsing the 200 mark.
-EKU returns all letterwinners from last season.

Chloe Rojas is setting the pace in digs with 95 (5.28-per-set). She is leading the conference in OVC-only action.

-Drost and Woody were both named All-OVC Preseason Selections going into the season.

MOREHEAD STATE
- The Eagles (10-7, 1-3 OVC) have lost three of its last four matches, falling to Belmont, Tennessee State and Tennessee Tech.

- The squad does boast a few players who are top five in the conference in their respective categories on the season: Olivia Lohmeier is third in hitting percentage (.333), Jessie Wachtman is fifth in hitting percentage (.314) and Maddie Fella is third in blocks with 59.

- Morehead is out-hitting opponents (.209-.175) and out-blocking opponents (124-115).
