MARTIN, Tenn. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's and women's basketball teams will travel south for a doubleheader against the University of Tennessee at Martin Saturday at the Elam Center.
The women's game will tip at 5:00 p.m. ET, followed by the men's game at 7:00 p.m. ET.

- The Colonels (8-14, 5-4 OVC) orchestrated a comeback win, rallying from a 13 point deficit to defeat Austin Peay State University, 80-71, Wednesday at McBrayer Arena.
- With Wednesday's win, the Colonels are fourth in the Ohio Valley Conference standings. Meanwhile, the Skyhawks enter Saturday's contest in a three-way tie for 10
th place.
- The Colonels rank in the OVC's top 10 in steals (173), blocks (83), scoring defense (68.4), and turnover margin (+1.77).
- Eastern leads the all-time series, 31-20. The Colonels won the last meeting, 71-60, in Richmond which ended a 10-game losing streak to the Skyhawks.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- UT Martin (6-17, 3-7 OVC) has won two of its last three league games, after dropping six straight. The Skyhawks lost to Tennessee Tech, 81-71, Saturday in Cookeville, Tennessee.
- Myah Taylor's 12.8 points-per-game leads the Skyhawks and is 13
th in the OVC.

- EKU (10-15, 3-7 OVC) had won two straight road games before dropping a heartbreaking 83-81 decision to Austin Peay in overtime on Wednesday at McBrayer Arena.
- Freshman
Asante Gist knocked down a career-high six three-pointers and finished with 24 points in EKU's loss to Austin Peay. Gist leads all freshmen in the OVC in scoring (15.3 points-per-game) and assists (3.7 assists-per-game).
- Sophomore
Nick Mayo finished with 19 points, eight rebounds and a career-high seven assists vs. Austin Peay on Wednesday. Mayo has scored in double figures in 28 consecutive games dating back to last season. He leads EKU and ranks fifth in the OVC in scoring at 17.6 points-per-game.
- Freshman
DeAndre Dishman came off the bench to score 14 points vs. Austin Peay. He shot 7-of-8 from the field in the loss.
- EKU's 83-81 loss to Austin Peay was its first game this season decided by three points or less. The Colonels were involved in six such games last season.
