Lindsey Wilkins led the way with 13 kills as the Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team fell to the Ohio Valley Conference undefeated Tennessee State Tigers, 3-0, on Friday night.

EKU fell by scores of 25-22, 25-19 and 25-23.

In the first set the Colonels fell behind 18-12 before a kill from Wilkins sparked five in a row from EKU to bring it within one, 18-17. A pair of kills from Rachel Henderson sealed the set for the Tigers, 25-22.

EKU led the majority of the final set until TSU tied it at 21-21. Tennessee State battled back to take the lead at 23-22. An attack error knotted the set again at 23, but the Tigers answered with a kill and a service ace to take the set and the match, 25-23.

Chloe Rojas led the way defensively with 12 digs while
Maria Ferragonio led with 36 assists.
Cassie Knutson chipped in 12 kills for a team second-best.

The Colonels out-hit TSU in the first set, .447-to-.400.

EKU drops to 3-14 (2-3 OVC) while Tennessee State improves to 7-9 (5-0 OVC).

Eastern returns to action tomorrow at Belmont. First serve is slated for 3 p.m. ET.
