RICHMOND, Ky. – Following the loss to in-state rival Morehead State University, the Eastern Kentucky University Volleyball team looks to finish the season on a high note with three remaining home matches.
The first of those three is against Ohio Valley Conference first-place team Austin Peay State University. APSU is coming off only their second conference loss this season, falling in four sets to Murray State University.
The match between the Colonels and the Governors will take place at 2 p.m. at McBrayer Arena.

The Colonels (4-21, 3-10 OVC) lost their midweek match against in-state rival Morehead State.
Colonel senior
Chloe Rojas is one of six individuals to receive the prestigious OVC Scholar-Athlete Award for 2017-18. The St. Charles, Illinois native has a 4.0 grade-point-average while majoring in journalism and Spanish.
Rojas leads the Colonels with 395 digs this season.
Cassie Knutson and
Lindsey Wilkins led the Colonels with 10 kills each against Morehead State.
Knutson leads the Colonels offence with 287 kills this season.
Scouting The Opponent
The Governors (22-4, 11-2 OVC) are coming off a 3-1 loss to Murray State on Tuesday.
Cecily Gable leads the Governors with 317 kills this season and Brooke Moore is close behind with 310.
Ginny Gerig anchors the defensive effort with 375 digs this season.
Logan Carger led the team in the Murray State loss with 14 kills.

The Colonels will take on Belmont and Tennessee State in the final matches of the season on Nov. 9 and Nov. 10 at McBrayer Arena.
