RICHMOND, Ky. – The baseball team will see many of its players heading out to play summer collegiate baseball all across North America. Twenty-three different Colonels will travel to play in 12 different leagues. Â

EKU will send two players,
Alex Holderbach and
Aaron Ochsenbein, to the highly touted Cape Cod League. Holderbach will play for the Harwich Mariners and Ochsenbein will suit up for the Orleans Firebirds. Holderbach was a first-team All-OVC member in 2018 and led the team in home runs with 18. Ochsenbein led the team in saves with nine in 2018.

The league with the most EKU representatives is the Coastal Plains League. Five players will play for four different teams.
Chris Botsoe will play for the Florence RedWolves.
Will Johnson will suit up for the Morehead City Marlins.
Nick Laster will play for the Savannah Bananas, while Colonel newcomers Brennan Kelly and Ronnie Engelman will play for the High Point-Thomasville HiToms.

Three Colonels are heading to the Great Lakes League.
Austin Shepherd and
Jacob Abbott will play for the Cincinnati Steam.
Eli Crall will play for the Galion Graders.

The New York Collegiate League will welcome three Colonels to the league.
Eddie Satisky will play for the Oneonta Outlaws. While newcomers Logan Thomason will join Satisky with the Outlaws and Nick Borek will suit up for the Syracuse Spartans.

Nick Howie and
Darren Williams will join the Sanford Mainers in the New England League. Howie was an OVC All-Tournament team member.

Jake Lewis and
Jaxson Blair will suit up for the Dubois County Bombers in the Ohio Valley League.

Kaven Brown and
Chance Bodine are heading to the Valley League to play for the Covington Lumberjacks.
Â
Ryland Kerr will head to the Northwoods League to play for the St. Cloud Rox. Kerr was on the Brooks Wallace Award watch list this season.

Right-handed pitcher
Logan Teague will head to the Prospect League where he will play for the Terre Haute Rex. Teague had a team-high six wins on the mound. Â Â

OVC All-Freshman team member
Daniel Harris IV will head out west and play in the California Collegiate league for the Academy Barons.

Corey Conklin will play in the West Coast league. He will suit up for the Corvallis Knights.

Finally, newcomer John Farley will play for the Rockville Express in the Cal Ripken league.Â
