RICHMOND, Ky. – Glenn Cosey only played basketball at Eastern Kentucky University for two years … but they were two very special years.

The 6-0 guard from Flint, Michigan scored 1,077 points in his two seasons, averaging 17.1 points-per-game. He is the EKU record holder for three-pointers in a season (115 / 2013-14) and three-pointers in a game (10). He led the Colonels with 17 points in their near-upset of Kansas in the 2014 NCAA Tournament.

Since graduating from EKU, Cosey has put together an impressive professional career overseas. He has played in France, Greece, Turkey and, most recently, Poland. He won a Polish Basketball Cup title with Polski Cukier Torun in 2018, scoring 36 points in the championship game.

We recently caught up with Cosey …

What have been some of your on-court highlights playing abroad?

My best on-court moment out of my five years of playing overseas would be last season when I played in Poland, and scored 36 points to win the Polish Cup Championship the day after my birthday.

What's your fondest memory of your days playing at EKU?

I had a ton of great days playing at EKU, but making it the NCAA Tournament was definitely one of the best feelings ever. Also, another great day was when I hit a game winner and it made SportsCenter Top-10 Plays.

What are some cool off-court memories you've made during your travels?

Traveling the world has been great, but I truly loved being in Paris, France and Milan, Italy. Just being there made me appreciate the game of basketball more because I could never imagine being there without basketball.

What's one thing you hope EKU fans remember you by?

I hope EKU fans remember me as a hard worker who loves playing the game of basketball, but also a winner. Off the court I hope they remember me as a guy who loves to smile and who enjoys every moment I'm alive.

What is the best part about playing in Poland?

The best part about playing in Poland was the fact that we won a ton of games. Winning games makes everybody happy. Off the court I would say I really enjoyed being in Warsaw, Poland. It was a good experience for me all the way around.
