RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's volleyball team will host a pair of Ohio Valley Conference teams this weekend. However, due to HVAC issues in Alumni Coliseum the matches on Friday and Saturday will be played at Madison Central High School.
The Colonels will take on Tennessee Tech at 6 p.m. on Friday and Jacksonville State at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
-The Colonels (1-11) dropped matches at Xavier and Cincinnati and against Indiana last weekend.

Chloe Rojas collected 49 digs over the three matches, and was named to the Queen City Classic All-Tournament Team.

Cassie Knutson (108) and
Lindsey Wilkins (105) are leading the offensive effort for the Colonels so far this season, both posting over 100 kills.

Kaylin Johnson is leading the squad at the net with 40 blocks on the season.

Chloe Rojas was the third Colonel to take Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year following the 2017 campaign.

Cassie Knutson were each named to the preseason all-conference team.

st and final season.
-The Colonels return eight, welcome in two transfers and bring in five freshmen.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS:
TENNESSEE TECH
-TTU is 6-8 in 2018 after falling to Seattle, Montana State and Idaho State last weekend.
-Tennessee Tech is riding a five-game losing streak into Friday's contest.
-Rachel Thomas is leading the Golden Eagles with 146 kills on the season.
-Kirsten Burgere is driving the defensive effort with 238 digs on the year.
JACKSONVILLE STATE
-The Gamecocks are 7-6 on the season after taking down Florida A&M but falling to Kennesaw State and Troy last weekend.
-Lena Kendermann leads the squad offensively with 135 kills while Kaylie Milton is leading defensively with 158 digs.
-Lexie Libs is currently second in the OVC with 10.31 assists-per-set.

-EKU will travel to Morehead State next Wednesday to take on the Eagles.
