RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team hits the road for two crucial conference games this weekend.
The Colonels take on UT Martin on Friday at 6 p.m. before taking on the Redhawks of Southeast Missouri on Saturday at 3 p.m.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
-Eastern comes into the week at 7-13 (2-4 OVC), after knocking off defending OVC Champion Murray State in five sets on Saturday.
-Freshman
Abby Noll went crazy against the Racers posting a career-high 29 kills to go with 18 digs. She now has 251 kills (3.80 kills per set) and 210 digs (3.18 digs per set) on the year. Her 3.80 kills per set ranks fourth in the conference and 77th in the nation. Noll was named OVC Newcomer of the Week.

Dena Tekavec brings her team-high 295 digs (4.34 digs per set) into the weekend. Her 4.34 digs per set ranks sixth in the OVC. Tekavec posted a match-best 25 digs against Murray State.

Kaylin Johnson comes into the weekend second on the team in kills with 144. She is hitting .244 on the season. Johnson has a team-best 64 blocks (0.96 per set) on the season. Her 0.96 blocks per set ranks sixth in the conference.
-Eastern ranks first in the conference in digs per set. The Colonels' 16.84 digs per set ranks 29th in the NCAA.
-EKU posted 18 team blocks in the win against Murray State. That was the third most blocks in a single match since 2004.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS:
UT MARTIN
-The Skyhawks come into the week at 6-14 (2-4 OVC), after splitting a pair of contests against Eastern Illinois and SIU Edwardsville.
-EKU leads the all-time series between the two teams, 30-19.
-UT Martin is led Ginta Mackeviciute who has a team-best 156 kills. She is averaging 2.17 kills per set on the year.
-Jamie Rys leads the backline for the Skyhawks with a team-best 216 digs on the year. She averages 3.48 digs per set.
-UTM hit a season-high .360 in the 3-0 sweep of Eastern Illinois on Saturday.
SEMO
-The Redhawks come into the weekend at 12-8 (4-2 OVC) after splitting a pair of matches against Eastern Illinois and SIUE.
-SEMO leads the all-time series between the two teams, 37-9.
-Southeast Missouri is led offensively by Laney Malloy with her team-high 234 kills on the season. Her 3.04 kills per set ranks eighth in the OVC.
-Claire Ochs continues to drop dimes on the year with 709 assists on the season. Her 709 assists ranks eighth in the NCAA.
-Freshman Tara Beilsmith has a team-best 360 digs on the year. She is averaging 4.68 digs per set which ranks fourth in the conference.
-The Redhawks have been tremendous around the net this year ranking fifth in the NCAA in total blocks and 17th in opponent hitting percentage.

-EKU returns home for a pair of contests next week. The Colonels take on SIUE on Friday before taking on Eastern Illinois is their annual dig pink game on Saturday.
