RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team hits the road for a pair of contests this week.
The Colonels will take on Jacksonville State on Thursday at 7 p.m. followed by Tennessee Tech on Friday with first serve being at 8 p.m.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
-Eastern comes into the weekend at 6-10 (1-1 OVC), after splitting a pair of contests against Tennessee State and Belmont over the weekend.

Abby Noll continues her stellar campaign bringing her team-best 186 kills and 168 digs into the weekend. Noll ranks fourth in the conference in kills per set with 3.72.

Dena Tekavec brings her team-high 223 digs (4.29 digs per set) into the weekend. Her 4.29 digs per set ranks sixth in the OVC.

Raegan Alexander dropped a career-best 40 assists in the sweep of Belmont on Saturday. She is second on the team with 141 assists on the year.
-Eastern ranks third in the conference in opponent hitting percentage.
-The Colonels rank 18th in the country and first in the conference in digs per set.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS:
JACKSONVILLE STATE
-The Gamecocks come into the weekend at 7-7 (1-1 OVC), after splitting a pair of contests against Tennessee Tech and UT Martin.
-JSU leads the all-time series between the two teams, 17-16.
-Jacksonville State is led by Lena Kindermann who has 187 kills (3.74 kills per set) on the year. Her 3.74 kills per set ranks third in the conference. Kindermann was named OVC Offensive Player of the Week for her performance last week.
-Lexie Libbs brings her team-best 556 assists into this week's contest. She is averaging 11.12 assists per set, which ranks first in the conference. Libbs was named OVC Setter of the Week.
-Erin Carmichael anchors the defense for the Gamecocks with her team-best 189 digs on the year.
TENNESSEE TECH
-The Golden Eagles come into the weekend at 5-10 (1-1 OVC), after splitting a pair of contests against Jacksonville State and SEMO over the weekend.
-Eastern leads the all-times series between the two teams, 65-21.
-Ali Verzani leads the way offensively for the Golden Eagles with a team-best 177 kills (3.40 per set). Her 3.40 kills per set ranks fifth in the conference.
-Ashley Hand leads the team with 493 assists on the year. Her 9.13 assists per set ranks fourth in the OVC.
