In set one, APSU used a quick start and jumped out to an early 14-7 lead in the set after back-to-back kills by Brooke Moore. Eastern cut the lead to four, 14-10, after a pair of Governors errors but could never get any closer. APSU took the opening set 25-14. Â

In set two, the Colonels jumped out to an early 4-1 lead after a kill by
Rachel Woody. The Govs responded with a 6-0 run to take a 7-4 lead and not look back. Eastern cut the lead to three, 14-11, after the kill by
Raegan Alexander but could never get closer. APSU took the second set 25-16.

In set three, Austin Peay jumped out to an early 10-4 lead, forcing a Colonel timeout. EKU cut the lead to seven, 22-15, late in the third but could never get any closer. Austin Peay took the final set 25-16.

Moore led the way with a match-best 13 kills and six digs. Ginny Gerig posted a match-best 26 digs. Â
