Colonels Welcome Alice Lloyd College to McBrayer Arena on Tuesday Night

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's basketball team will host Alice Lloyd College on Tuesday night at McBrayer Arena. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
 
It is EKU's opening game in the 'Battle for the Capital' tournament. The Colonels continue the tournament with Florida International and Cleveland State in Washington D.C. later in the week.
 
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+. The live radio broadcast of the game is available in the Richmond area on WCYO-100.7 FM, and can be heard worldwide on EKUSports.com.
 
 
WHAT TO KNOW
 
Sophomore Jomaru Brown scored a career-high 41 points vs. rival WKU last Friday night. It was the most points scored by a Colonel in a single game since February, 2001 and it tied for the second most points ever scored by a Colonel at McBrayer Arena.
 
Brown's 41 points vs. WKU are also the third most points scored by a Division-I player so far this season.
 
Brown was voted the OVC Co-Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 31.5 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists-per-game last week. He shared the award with Belmont guard Adam Kunkel.
 
EKU (2-2) leads the OVC in steals-per-game (13.0), free throw percentage (78.6%) and turnover margin (+6.0). The Colonels rank 6th in the country in steals-per-game.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
 
Alice Lloyd arrives in Richmond with a record of 4-3.
 
Blake Smith is averaging 24.6 points-per-game for the Eagles.
 
This is the first-ever meeting between EKU and Alice Lloyd.
