RICHMOND, Ky. – In a seesaw affair, the Eastern Kentucky baseball team lost by one, 6-5, to visiting Jacksonville State on Friday in game two of a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series.

The Colonels (22-17, 9-8 OVC) broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the second with
Will Johnson's two-run single up the middle. The Gamecocks answered in the top of the third with three runs to go in front 4-3. Andrew Naismith had a two-out, two-run single to cap the inning.

EKU came right back in the bottom half of the third and scored twice to swing the lead back in its favor, 5-4. Daniel Harris brought home the first run on a ground ball.Â
Christian Lucio drove in the second on a single down the right field line.

The lead changed hands for the final time in the top of the fourth when Naismith had another two-out, two-run single to put Jacksonville State (21-16, 12-5 OVC) up 6-5. Neither team scored again the rest of the way. EKU put the tying run on base with one out in the bottom of the ninth, but couldn't get him home.

Naismith finished 3-for-5 with four RBIs.Â
Logan Thomason was 2-for-2 with a walk for the Colonels. Harris went 1-for-5 with two runs and an RBI.
The series will conclude with game three on Saturday at 1 p.m.
