NASHVILLE, Tenn. –
The Eastern Kentucky University softball team split a pair of contests against Tennessee State University on Saturday in Nashville.

EKU (19-15, 6-4 OVC) lost game one against the Tigers, 1-0, before knocking off Tennessee State, 2-0, in game two.

In game two, Eastern got an inside the park home run from Sammi Miller, her first of the year, to defeat the Tigers.

In the top of the fifth inning Melissa Jacobsen singled to left field with two outs to extend the inning. She stole second and advanced to third on a passed ball to set up Millers heroics. Miller took the 2-1 pitch down the left field line for an inside the park home run to take a 2-0 lead.
