RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's volleyball coach Johnna Fouch has released the Colonels' 2019 schedule.
 
The team opens up the season in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Charlotte Invitational on August 30-31. Eastern opens up with Kent State University on Friday, before playing host UNC Charlotte and Gardner Webb on Saturday.
 
The schedule is highlighted by a trip to Morgantown, West Virginia on Sept. 20-21 when Eastern participates in the Mountaineer Classic. The Colonels will take on the United States Navel Academy to start the event on Friday, followed by a doubleheader against host West Virginia and Duquesne University on Saturday.
 
Eastern travels to Bowling Green to take on in-state rival Western Kentucky University on Sept. 10 for the first time since 1998.
 
The Colonels open up the home portion of their schedule on Sept. 24 when Marshall University comes to McBrayer Arena.
 
EKU opens up conference play on Sept. 27 at home against Tennessee State at 6 p.m.
 
Eastern wraps up the home portion of its schedule with a three-game stand against Jacksonville State, Tennessee Tech and in-state rival Morehead Stat in November.
