RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky looks for its first five-game winning streak in seven years when the Colonels face Lamar at
Roy Kidd Stadium on Saturday for its "Paint the Town Pink Game."
The game will air live on ESPN+ with kickoff scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Greg Stotelmyer will handle play-by-play duties with Jim Tirey serving as the analyst and Wes Chandler working as the sideline reporter. The audio broadcast will also be simulcast in the Richmond area on WCYO 100.7 FM, and can be heard worldwide on EKUSports.com.

- Saturday will mark the first-ever meeting between EKU and Lamar.
- EKU is playing a home game on Halloween weekend for the first time since 2009, when the Colonels beat Southeast Missouri, 20-6, on Halloween afternoon.

- Eastern Kentucky had last week off following its fourth win in a row, a thrilling 38-35 comeback at Central Arkansas on Oct. 16.

Parker McKinney accounted for 289 total yards and three touchdowns in EKU's win at Central Arkansas. McKinney was 24-of-40 for 224 yards with two touchdowns and one interception and was 8-of-10 through the air in the fourth quarter. He also led EKU's rushing attack with 65 yards on six carries, including the game-winning 40-yard touchdown run.

Matt Wilcox Jr. caught a career-high 11 passes for 67 yards, while the Colonel defense held UCA to seven points in the second half, led by
Matthew Jackson's 13 tackles.
- EKU has won four games in a row, a feat it last accomplished in 2018. The Colonels haven't won five straight since the 2014 season, when Eastern Kentucky won its first six games and advanced to the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) playoffs.
- Eastern Kentucky has tallied exactly 22 first downs in each of its last three games.
- EKU has accumulated a combined 14 ASUN weekly football awards this season.
- McKinney is climbing EKU's career statistical charts. He is 49 passing yards away from cracking the top-five in that category. He has 4,647 in his career, good for sixth, behind Allan Holland, and is tied for sixth all-time with 31 passing touchdowns.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Lamar fell to 2-5 with a 49-38 loss to Central Arkansas last Saturday. The Cardinals trailed 35-7 at halftime, but scored 31 points in the second half before falling short in their comeback effort.
- LU amassed 441 total yards in defeat, averaging 6.5 yards per play against the Bears.
- Lamar is searching for its first win in the ASUN-WAC Challenge after falling to Sam Houston, Abilene Christian, and Central Arkansas. Lamar's two wins this season came over North American and Northern Colorado.
- Wide receiver James Jones and running back Chaz Ward have each rushed for three touchdowns this season.
- The Cardinal defense has tallied 15.0 sacks on the year, led by 4.0 from defensive lineman Tylo Phillips.
