RICHMOND, Ky. – Jan and Jim Barnes have made a substantial gift to EKU Athletics' Next Level November efforts to support the EKU Football, EKU Men's Basketball and EKU Women's Basketball programs while also making a major commitment for the future as part of a planned gift to the Department of Athletics, it was announced Tuesday by the department.
"We appreciate all of those in the EKU Athletics community that continue to support our student-athletes and programs as we strive daily to grow and improve," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Matt Roan. "The commitment to positively impact not just the present, but also the future of EKU Athletics by our dear friends, the Barnes, is vital to helping us achieve our collective goals. The influence of Jan and Jim on EKU Athletics has been felt for many years and will continue for many years into the future with this commitment."

Next Level November is an initiative to secure additional funds to support EKU student-athletes during the month of November. Each team has a goal of $5,000 or more through a crowdfunding campaign online, culminating on Nov. 30 with the internationally recognized Giving Tuesday.
