Road Trip Continues For Colonels With Game At Radford On Sunday

RADFORD, Va. –
Eastern Kentucky will continue its two-game road trip with a contest at Radford on Sunday.
 
The game is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. and will air live on ESPN+.  The live radio broadcast of the game is available in the Richmond area on WCYO 100.7 FM, and can be heard worldwide on EKUSports.com.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  EKU leads the all-time series 1-0.  The lone meeting between the two programs came on Nov. 18, 2012. 
 
-  The Colonels earned an 83-75 victory in a Comfort Suites Invitational game played at McBrayer Arena in Richmond.  Glenn Cosey led Eastern Kentucky with 20 points.  Mike DiNunno had 19 points and five assists.
 
THE COLONELS
-  Eastern Kentucky (5-2) scored the first nine points of the game, jumped out to a 12-2 lead, led by three at halftime, had a 6-point lead with 10 minutes left in the game but couldn't hold off a West Virginia rally in an 80-77 loss on Friday in Morgantown.
 
Jannson Williams hit five 3-pointers in a game for the second time this season and scored a new season-high 22 points at West Virginia.
 
-  Cooper Robb tied his career-high with six assists against the Mountaineers.
 
-  In its last two games, Eastern Kentucky has 40 assists on 57 made field goals.  The Colonels dished out 20 assists in each of their last two games.  They are third in the conference and 47th nationally with 16.1 assists per game.
 
-  The Colonels have hit 13 or more 3-pointers in six of their seven games this season.  Through Nov. 26, EKU is first in the ASUN, and third in the nation, in 3-pointers per game (13.00).
 
Russhard Cruickshank is second in the ASUN Conference in assist-to-turnover ratio at 4.20.  Cruickshank has 21 assists and only five turnovers in seven games.
 
-  EKU is ninth in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage defense and Radford is 299th in the country in 3-point field goal shooting (28.7 percent).
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Radford is 2-4 this season.  The Highlanders began the season with an 84-72 victory over Emory & Henry before suffering four straight losses to Virginia (73-52), Virginia Tech (65-39), Furman (81-64) and Navy (47-33).  Radford snapped the streak on Wednesday with a 67-54 victory at home over William & Mary.   
 
-  Shaquan Jules, a 6-foot-7 junior forward who is in his second season after transferring from South Carolina-Aiken, leads the team in scoring at 9.0 points per game and is tied for second in rebounding (3.8).  He has hit on 66 percent of his shots (19-of-29) from the field.
 
-  Rashun Williams, a 6-foot-7 forward, averages 8.3 points per game.  Chyree Walker, a 6-foot-5 senior forward, leads the squad in rebounding at 6.0 per game.
 
-  As a team, the Highlanders average just 57 points per game, but have allowed only 65 per contest.
 
-  Radford is hitting on 39 percent of its shots from the field, and 29 percent from long range.
 
-  The Radford defense is forcing 9.2 steals per game, but the Highlanders are turning the ball over one more time per game than their opponents.
