EKU Volleyball Returns Home For Weekend Matches

RICHMOND, Ky. –
Eastern Kentucky will return to Richmond after an eight-game road stretch to host Lipscomb and Central Arkansas this weekend.
 
The Colonels will take on Lipscomb on Friday at 6 p.m. ET and Central Arkansas on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. ET.  Both matches will air live on ESPN+.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  EKU is 9-1 all-time against Lipscomb.  In the most recent matchup, the Bisons defeated the Colonels on Oct. 10 in Nashville, 3-1.
 
-  Eastern Kentucky defeated Central Arkansas, 3-2, in the schools' first-ever meeting on Oct. 8. 
 
THE COLONELS
-  Eastern Kentucky (7-20, 4-9 ASUN) split a pair of road matches last weekend, beating North Alabama, 3-2, before falling to Jacksonville State, 3-0.
 
Sarah Mitchell led the Colonels' attack with 27 kills and 26 digs last weekend.  On Friday, Mitchell posted 13 kills and 17 digs to record her ninth double-double of the season against North Alabama.  The freshman is now tied for the fourth-most kills in the ASUN with 297.
 
-  In 13 ASUN matches, Audrey Eaton has logged 224 assists, averaging 6.40 assists per set.
 
Molly Michalak is second the ASUN with 308 kills this season.  Sydney Schoen is second in the ASUN with 420 digs.  Schoen averaged 4.00 digs per set and tallied 35 digs in two matches last weekend.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Lipscomb enters the weekend with an 11-11 record, including an 8-4 mark in conference play.  After dropping two of three matches at the ASUN Crossover in Jacksonville, the Bisons posted a 3-0 shutout on the road at Central Arkansas last Friday.   
 
-  Kamryn Bacus notched 11 kills and posted a .348 attack percentage in the victory over Central Arkansas last week.  She leads the Bisons with 227 kills this season.
 
-  Delaney Dilfer ranks third in the ASUN with 10.30 assists per set.  In the past three conference matches, Dilfer has notched 127 assists.
 
-  Central Arkansas is 5-16 this season with a 3-9 record in conference matches.  The Sugar Bears lost two of three matches at the ASUN Crossover before last Friday's loss at home to Lipscomb.  Central Arkansas will play at Bellarmine on Friday before heading to Richmond.
 
-  Alexis Stumbough leads Central Arkansas with 186 kills this season.  Stumbough recorded a season-high 17 kills last week against Lipscomb.
 
-  Lexie Gregory averages a team-best 3.56 digs per set for the Sugar Bears.
