RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team opens its 2021 spring season at home against University of Tennessee at Martin on Sunday and Monday
 
First serve against UT Martin is scheduled for 4 p.m. on both days.
 
Live statistics will be provided for the match. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
 
-Eastern finished last season 9-21 (4-12 OVC) in head coach Johnna Bazzani's first season.
-Redshirt junior Jovana Bulatovic is the top returning outside hitter from a year ago with 181 kills (2.06 kills per set).
-Fellow redshirt junior Lindsey Wilkins will return to the court after missing last season due to injury.
-Junior Sydney Schoen returns in the back row for the Colonels. Schoen posted 146 digs on the season last year.
-Eastern brings in seven freshmen and one junior college transfer to this year's roster.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT:
 
UT Martin
-The Skyhawks finished the 2019 season at 13-19 (9-7 OVC) and finished 5th in the OVC standings.
-UTM was picked to finish 7th in the preseason poll voted on by the coaches and sports information directors.
-Logan Wallick returns on the outside for the Skyhawks this year. The redshirt junior was named to the preseason All-OVC Volleyball Team.
-Wallick posted 302 kills and 2.92 kills per set on the season.
-Setter Kenzie Hinshaw returns for the Skyhawks. Hinshaw posted 1059 assists and 284 digs during the 2019 campaign.
