MURRAY, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University softball team fell on the road against in-state rival Murray State, 10-2, on Saturday night.
Murray State (6-12, 3-1 OVC) scored two runs in the first and three runs in the second and never looked back.

Ariyana Miranda singled up the middle to bring home
Jaelyn Sanders to cut into the Racer lead, 5-1, in the third inning.

MSU pushed three more across in the fourth and two in the fifth inning to take the game.

Mattira Morales hit her first home run of the season in the top of the fifth to cut the score to 8-2.

Miranda went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Morales went 1-for-1 with one home run and one RBI.

Eastern returns to the diamond tomorrow with a doubleheader against the Racers starting at 2 p.m.
