RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky won the second game of a doubleheader against Tennessee-Martin, 6-1, on Saturday at Earle Combs Stadium.
The Skyhawks won the first game 7-3.

Eastern (7-10, 2-3 OVC) broke a 1-1 tie in the seventh inning of game two. With two outs and one on,
Will King reached on an error to keep the inning alive.
Santiago Peralta followed with a single to right center to drive in
Caleb Upshaw.
Daniel Harris IV doubled to left to plate two more and put the Colonels in front 4-1.
Sophomore
Charlie Ludwick tacked on his fourth home run of the season in the bottom of the eighth. The two-run shot over the wall in right set the final score.
Jake Lewis started for EKU and allowed just one run on three hits over six innings. He walked two and struck out a career-high eight batters. Freshman
Bryce Travis (2-0) earned the win. He pitched the final three innings, allowed one hit, walked one and struck out five.
Peralta was 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Harris finished 2-for-3 with three runs driven in. Ludwick was 2-for-4 with a run and two RBIs.
Sam Folks turned in a quality start for UT Martin (7-8, 3-2 OVC). He allowed one run on three hits, did not walk a batter and struck out seven.
Louis Davenport III started strong for the Colonels in game one, retiring the first six batters on strike outs. The offense gave the junior a lead in the bottom of the third.
Logan Thomason began the inning with a double. Two batters later, freshman
Max Williams hit his second home run of the season. The two-run shot over the wall in right field staked EKU to an early 2-0 lead.
Davenport ran into trouble in the fourth. A walk, a single and another walk allowed the Skyhawks to load the bases. A sacrifice fly and an RBI single tied the game at 2-2. Will LaFollette's three-run home run put the visitors up 5-2 and the Colonels never got any closer.
Davenport pitched four and one-third innings and allowed six runs on three hits and four walks. He struck out a career-best 11.
Thomason went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Williams finished 1-for-3 with a run and two RBIs.
Winston Cannon (3-2) earned the win after pitching seven innings and allowing three runs on six hits. He did not walk a batter and struck out five. LaFollette was 1-for-3 with a run and three RBIs for UT Martin.
