RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team continues its homestand on Sunday and Monday against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
 
First serve against SIUE is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Sunday and 2 p.m. on Monday.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
 
-Eastern comes into the contests at 2-6 (2-6 OVC) after splitting a pair of matches against Belmont last weekend.
- Freshman Molly Michalak leads the way for the Colonels offensively with a team-best 104 kills and 105 digs on the season.
-Michalak was named OVC Newcomer of the Week for the second time this year on Wednesday.
-Freshman setter Audrey Eurton has a team-best 335 assists on the year. Eurton is averaging 10.15 assists per set on the year.
-Sydney Schoen leads the back line for the Colonels with 126 digs on the year. The junior is averaging 3.82 digs per set.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT:
 
SIU Edwardsville
-The Cougars come into the contests at 4-4 (4-4 OVC) after getting swept by Southeast Missouri last weekend on the road.
-SIUE brings a balanced attack into the weekend with four players having 50 or more kills on the year.
-Setter Sarah Armendariz has a team-high 237 assists on the season. Armendariz is averaging 8.46 assists per set.
-Jordyn Klein has been rock solid on the backline for the Cougars with a team-best 141 digs on the season.
