Colonels Play At Butler On Wednesday

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. –
Eastern Kentucky will play at Butler on Wednesday.
 
The match at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse will begin at 6 p.m. and air live on YouTube.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  Butler leads the all-time series 3-0. 
 
-  The first meeting between the two teams came in 1991. 
 
-  The most recent meeting was in 2013. 
 
THE COLONELS
-  Eastern Kentucky (2-7) closed the Colonel Challenge with a 3-1 win over Western Carolina on Saturday.
 
-  Molly Michalak had a match-best 16 kills with a .263 attack percentage and 10 digs against WCU.
 
-  Sarah Mitchell finished with 15 kills, made only four errors and hit .324 in the win over Western Carolina.
 
-  Sydney Schoen had a match-high 22 digs against WCU and finished the Colonel Challenge with an average of 5.0 digs per set over three matches.
 
-  Michalak was chosen to the Colonel Challenge All-Tournament team after averaging 3.83 kills per set.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Butler is 5-4 this season.  The Bulldogs won two of three matches at the California Tournament last weekend, beating Nevada (3-0) and host Cal (3-1), after falling to North Dakota State (3-1) in the opener.  
 
-  Melody Davidson leads Butler with 3.43 kills per set while hitting .320 for the season.  Jaymeson Kinley has a team-best 5.31 digs per set.  Madison Friebel leads the squad with 10.09 assists per set.  
 
-  Davidson had 16 kills on a .448 hitting percentage and five blocks in the win over California.
