RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University cross country teams hit the road on Friday for the Joe Piane Invitational hosted by Notre Dame.
 
The Men's Open division is a 5-mile race that starts at 12:45 p.m. The women's 5k will be after the men's open division and start at 1:30 p.m. The Men's Gold division raps the event up with a 5-mile race starting at 2:15.
 
The men's team will square off against teams such as Alabama, Auburn, Boston College, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Virginia.  

The women's team will square off against teams such as Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Furman, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Washington. 

Freshman Charles Kipchumba looks to continue his impressive start to the season as he has won two ASUN Freshman of the Week honors.
