TK McLendon Jr. has been selected to play in the Hula Bowl on Jan. 14 in Orlando, Fla.
All NFL, XFL, USFL and CFL teams will be represented by top scout players during the Hula Bowl week. Since 1946, the Hula Bowl has hosted legendary players such as Merlin Olsen, Vince Ferragamo, Brian Young, Blaine Gaison, Ricky Williams, Deion Sanders, Fran Tarkenton, Dan Marino, Eric Dickerson, Jim Plunkett, Tony Dorsett Eric Crounch, Rộn Dayne, Anthony Miller, Mike Garrett, Drew Brees, and Billy Sims.
McLendon has started all nine games on the defensive line for the Colonels. He has 46 tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery this season.
The Soperton, Ga., native will be the second defensive player to represent the Colonels in an all-star game in the last two years. Roland Walder competed in the FCS National Bowl and the SPIRAL Tropical Bowl last season.
