RICHMOND, Ky. – A two-match November road trip to Florida awaits the Colonels this weekend.  EKU will play at Florida Gulf Coast in Fort Myers on Friday and then travel to Deland for a match against Stetson on Saturday.
 
Eastern Kentucky and FGCU will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday.  The Hatters and Colonels are scheduled for first serve at 6 p.m. on Saturday.  That match will air live on ESPN+.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  Florida Gulf Coast is 2-0 all-time against Eastern Kentucky.  The Eagles picked up a 3-0 win last season. 
 
-  The Colonels lead the series with Stetson 3-1.  The Hatters won 3-0 in 2021. 
 
THE COLONELS
-  EKU is coming off a weekend sweep of North Florida and Jacksonville at home.  The Colonels beat both teams 3-0.
 
-  Molly Michalak averaged 3.67 kills per set in the two wins last weekend.  She made just one error in 29 attempts against North Florida, finishing with 12 kills and a .379 attack percentage.  The outside hitter posted double-doubles in both matches, contributing 12 digs against UNF and 15 against Jacksonville.
 
-  Freshman AG Vandagriff averaged 1.67 kills and 0.83 blocks per set in the two wins this past weekend.  She made just one error in both matches combined and hit .429.  Fellow freshman Carson Ledford averaged 1.17 blocks per set.
 
-  Michalak and Sarah Mitchell are tied for eighth in the ASUN in kills with 274 each.  Ledford is sixth in the conference in blocks with 84.
 
-  The Colonels lead the ASUN in digs, are fourth in kills and sixth in blocks.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Florida Gulf Coast is 19-6 overall and 9-3 in ASUN Conference matches.  The Eagles have won three straight and six of their last seven, including road wins at Jacksonville State and Kennesaw State.  FGCU beat Stetson 3-0 on Tuesday.  
 
-  Senior outside hitter Erin Shomaker leads the team with 3.90 kills per set.  Junior middle blocker Juliana Lentz has a team-high 50 blocks.  Chelsey Lockey, a setter, has 48 blocks in addition to leading the squad with 10.84 assists per set and 34 aces.  
 
-  Stetson stands at 13-11 on the season and 4-8 against league teams.  The Hatters have dropped three in a row.
 
-  Elena Djokovic leads Stetson with 2.84 kills per set.  Alexis Thompson (55) leads the team in blocks.
