RICHMOND, Ky. – Coming off the programs first season as a member of the ASUN Conference, EKU softball has finalized its 2023 schedule, head coach
Jane Worthington announced on Tuesday morning.

EKU begins the 2023 season with 13 games away from Richmond from February 10-26. In this span the program will head to Illinois and face St. Thomas, Evansville, Bowling Green, Valpo, and Creighton. The team will then bus to Atlanta for five games against Rhode Island, Georgia State, and Purdue Fort Wayne. The Colonels wrap up the away slate with three games in the UNCW Tournament before returning home.
EKU will then flip the script and host eight non-conference home games at Gertrude Hood Field starting with Dayton on March 2 and ending the week with four games against Indiana State and Ohio, playing each team twice. The Colonels continue their home stand with a clash against in-state rival Western Kentucky on March 8 and will end the week with a series against Valpo on March 11-12.
Eastern Kentucky will then begin its second season in the ASUN with a home series against Liberty on March 17-19.
The Colonels will kick off the midweek slate hosting Louisville on Tuesday, March 21 at 6:00 p.m ET.
Worthington and company will hit the road for two straight conference series against Kennesaw State and North Alabama from March 24-April 2. Ending a 12-day road swing traveling to Highland Heights, Ky. to face regional foe NKU on April 4 at 4:00 p.m. ET.
EKU returns home with its second home conference series against Jacksonville on April 6-7, playing a doubleheader against the Dolphins on Thursday beginning at 2 p.m.
The Colonels will then head South for a midweek game at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tenn. on April 12th before taking on Florida Gulf Coast over the weekend. The team will make the trek back home to face Morehead State and Jacksonville State from April 19-23.
On April 26, EKU will compete in one of its more anticipated games on the slate as the team makes the 30-minute drive to Lexington for a midweek contest with Kentucky at 6:00 p.m. ET.
Eastern Kentucky will conclude its 2023 regular season schedule with a road conference trip to Nashville, Tenn. to face Lipscomb from April 29-30 before returning home to meet Bellarmine on May 5-7.
EKU looks to qualify for its first ASUN Tournament on May 11-13 hosted by Stetson in DeLand, Fla.
Fans will have two different options when selecting season tickets. Prices begin at $25 for general admission seating. Chairback seating is available for the season at $35.
