RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University beach volleyball team is set to open the Jeff Patton era Friday afternoon at Tusculum.
 
The Colonels open the event on Friday afternoon against Carson-Newman. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m. EKU turns around and takes on the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga at 4 p.m.
 
Eastern Kentucky wraps up the event on Saturday against the host Tusculum at noon.
 
The Colonels added seven new faces to the team this year. EKU added Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year Hannah Keating from Morehead State. Keating was also apart of the OVC Pairing of the Year. Eastern Kentucky also added First-Team All-Southland member Shannon Stone to the squad from Central Arkansas.
 
EKU also welcomes in freshmen Paityn Walker, Elizabeth Fonvielle, Bailey Rima, Miya Carmichael, and Kali Walker.
 
The Colonels return Sydney Schoen, Kaylin Johnson, Maddy Campbell, Sarah Mitchell, and Valerie Franklin off last year's squad.
