RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University beach volleyball team hits the road to the College of Charleston Beach Classic this weekend.
 
The Colonels open the event on Saturday morning against in-state rival Morehead State. First serve is scheduled for 8 a.m. EKU wraps up Saturday against the host College of Charleston at 1:30 p.m. The Colonels open Sunday against Florida Gulf Coast at 11:30 a.m. before wrapping up the event against Coastal Carolina at 3 p.m.
 
The Colonels come into the weekend at 0-3 after falling in a trio of matches at the Tusculum Invitational.
 
Sydney Schoen and Maddy Campbell picked up their first win of the season after coming back from down 1-0 against Carson-Newman. Freshmen Bailey Rima and Kali Walker picked up their first win of the season over Chattanooga on the opening weekend.
