RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University beach volleyball team hits the road to Spartanburg, South Carolina for a pair of matches on Friday.
 
The Colonels take on Truett McConnell on Friday with first serve being at 11 a.m. EKU then takes on the host Spartanburg Methodist at 5 p.m. to wrap up the event. The Colonels picked up their first win of the season over Spartanburg last Thursday, sweeping the Pioneers in straight sets, 5-0.
 
EKU only lost one set in the match.
 
Paityn Walker and Sarah Mitchell have posted a 5-5 record out of the number two pairing this year. Maddy Campbell and Elizabeth Fonvielle have four wins in the number four spot.
