CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.– Eastern Kentucky University's beach volleyball team fell in a pair matches to Jacksonville State on Saturday in Clarksville.
 
The Colonels lost the first match, 3-2, before falling in match two, 4-1.
 
In match one, the number one pairing of Paityn Walker and Sarah Mitchell knocked off the number one pairing of Jacksonville State in straight sets. The duo won the first set, 21-14, before holding on to win the second set, 23-21. It was the pairing's team-best 12th win of the season.
 
The number two pairing of Shannon Stone and Maddy Campbell also won in straight sets over the Gamecock duo winning the first set, 21-19, before winning the second set, 25-23.
 
In match two, the duo of Stone and Campbell fell behind early losing the opening set, 21-17. The pairing stormed back taking the second set, 21-14, to even the match at 1-1. The duo held on to win the third set, 16-14, to win the point for the Colonels.
 
The Colonels hit the road next weekend for the ASUN Tournament in Huntsville, Alabama.
