HUNTSVILLE, Ala.– Eastern Kentucky University's beach volleyball team fell to Stephen F. Austin, 4-1, on Sunday at the ASUN Beach Championship
 
Shannon Stone and Maddy Campbell open their match winning the first set over the SFA duo, 21-13. Stephen F. Austin answered back taking the second set, 21-18, to even the match at 1-1. The Colonel pairing held on to win the final set, 15-12, to win the point for the Colonels.
 
The number one pairing of Sarah Mitchell and Paityn Walker fell in the opening set to SFA, 21-11. The duo stormed back to take second set, 21-16, to even the match at 1-1. Mitchell and Walker couldn't knock off SFA in the third set falling, 15-8.
 
The season comes to an end for the Colonels after the loss to SFA. EKU picked up a season-high in wins under first year head coach Jeff Patton.
