RICHMOND, Ky. – Katie Cornelius will serve as the director of operations for the EKU volleyball program and the assistant coach for the beach program.
Cornelius spent the 2021 season as a graduate assistant coach at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She assisted with practice, game plans and on-campus recruiting. She also aided in creating strength and conditioning programs and monitored student-athlete academic progress.

Johnna Bazzani said. "She comes in with great knowledge and experience that will help this program develop in the direction I want it to go."
The Manassas, Virginia native spent three seasons playing for the University of Lynchburg. She competed in 27 matches for the Hornets and tallied 438 career assists. She spent her freshman season at West Liberty University where she appeared in 14 matches.
Cornelius earned a bachelor's of science degree in health and physical education from Lynchburg in May of 2021. She completed a master's in physical education and coaching at Arkansas-Monticello in July of 2022.
