EKU jumped out to a 1-0 lead.  With the first set tied 18-18, the Colonels scored four of the next five to go in front by three, 22-19.  A kill by Carson Ledford and a UTM error ended the set 25-22.

Eastern Kentucky started fast in the second set and looked to be on its way to a 2-0 lead, going in front by seven at 12-5 and 14-7.  However, the Skyhawks answered with a 12-0 run to turn a seven-point deficit into a five-point lead, 19-14.  UTM finished off the second set 25-18.

The third set was tied late, 22-22, before two kills by Logan Wallick accounted for two of the final three points to give UT Martin a 25-23 win and a 2-1 lead.  Haeleigh Paulino's kill in the fourth set put the visitors ahead 5-4 and the Skyhawks never trailed again, winning the final set 25-14.

Ledford and Sarah Mitchell each had nine kills for the Colonels (2-1).  Mason added 23 assists.

Kambree Lucas led all players with 16 kills, to go along with seven block assists, for UTM (2-1).  The Skyhawks committed seven fewer attack errors and out-blocked Eastern Kentucky 16-4.
